The current national standards related to reading and writing desk lamps mainly include the following three:

GB 7000.204-2008 Lamps Part 2-2: Special requirements for recessed lamps

GB 7000.1-2015 Lamps Part 1: General requirements and tests.

GB/T 9473-2017 Performance requirements for reading and writing desk lamps

Among the above three standards, GB 7000.204 and GB 7000.1 are safety standards for desk lamps, stipulating the most basic electrical and mechanical safety requirements GB/T 9473 is a performance standard for reading and writing desk lamps, specifying the lighting comfort of reading and writing desk lamps, their impact on the human body, and the most basic photoelectric performance requirements. As early as 2008, China formulated the performance requirement standard GB/T 9473 "Performance requirements for reading and writing desk lamps", which specifies key indicators related to lighting comfort. This standard is recommendatory and has not been taken seriously for a long time. With the rapid development and gradual maturity of semiconductor lighting technology, in recent years, LED desk lamps have become the mainstream in the market. The relevant standard committee has organized the revision of GB/T 9473- 2008. The new version of the standard was released in 2017, incorporating LED desk lamps into the scope of the standard and adding indicators such as light, electromagnetic radiation, and flicker that consumers are concerned about.
